Zoho API Integration & Custom Development
Need Zoho to talk to a bespoke system? We build custom API integrations, middleware, and webhooks that connect Zoho to any platform.
Custom API development to connect Zoho with anything.
When a native connector doesn't exist, a custom API integration bridges the gap. We work with Zoho's REST APIs, OAuth, and webhooks to connect virtually any system.
From real-time data sync to complex middleware orchestrating multiple platforms, we build integrations that are secure, observable, and built to last.
What's included
- Zoho REST API development
- OAuth 2.0 & secure authentication
- Webhook & event-driven sync
- Custom middleware & orchestration
- Third-party & legacy system bridges
- Rate-limit handling & retries
- Data transformation & mapping
- Monitoring, logging & alerting
What Zoho API integration means
Every Zoho app exposes a REST API: the same records you see on screen, readable and writable by another program. A custom API integration is code that uses those APIs - and the APIs of whatever system Zoho needs to talk to - to move data and trigger actions between them, without a person in the middle.
This page is about the technical layer. If you are deciding what should sync with what, start with our Zoho integration services page, which covers the business side. This is about how the connection itself is built, and why the details decide whether it keeps working.
What a reliable Zoho API integration has to handle
These are the parts of the Zoho APIs that most often catch out integrations built in a hurry.
OAuth 2.0 and token refresh
Zoho APIs authenticate with OAuth. Access tokens expire within the hour and must be refreshed with a stored refresh token. An integration that does not handle refresh works perfectly on the day it is demonstrated and fails the next morning.
Data centres
Zoho accounts live in regional data centres, and each has its own API and accounts domains. An integration hard-coded to one region fails silently for an org hosted in another - an easy mistake for anything meant to serve more than one client.
API limits
Zoho applies API limits that depend on the product, your edition and the number of licences. Bulk work done one record per call exhausts them quickly. We use bulk and batch endpoints where they exist, and design syncs so a busy day does not lock everyone else out.
Webhooks or polling
Workflow rules in several Zoho apps can call a webhook the moment a record changes, which is faster and lighter than asking every few minutes whether anything is new. Where the other system cannot receive webhooks, a scheduled sync with a high-water mark avoids reprocessing old data.
Scopes
Every OAuth client requests specific permissions. We request only the scopes the integration needs, so a leaked token can do as little as possible.
Our Zoho API development services
The right architecture depends on where the logic should live. We will recommend the lightest option that does the job.
Deluge with invokeurl, inside Zoho
For integrations triggered by Zoho events that call an external API and write the result back. Nothing to host, and connections handle the external OAuth. Right for most moderate-volume integrations.
Middleware services
A small service we build and host, for syncs that are too heavy, too frequent or too complex for Deluge's execution limits, or that must sit between several systems at once.
Your application talking to Zoho
When your own product or website needs to read or write Zoho data, we build that client side of the integration - authentication, retries and all.
Legacy and non-API systems
For systems with no API, a bridge using file exchange, database access or scheduled exports, wrapped so Zoho sees it as just another data source.
What you get out of it
Outcomes that matter to your business - not just features.
Connect anything
If it has an API, we can integrate it with Zoho.
Real-time data
Webhooks and event-driven sync keep systems current.
Secure by default
OAuth, encryption, and least-privilege access throughout.
Observable
Logging, monitoring, and alerts on every integration.
